Ashley stove compnay merged with ussc united states stove company has been in business since 1849 and merged with ashley stove co. As with any wood burning stove there are some components that break due to misuse or due to wear and tear that happens naturally over time. The original ashley company was purchased in the late 1970 s by martin industries who produced the stoves until the 1990 s when they were bought out by the united states stove company.
